Digital Organics
An artistic interpretation of the relationship between technology and cotton through the use of a Jacquard loom.
Designed with Adobe Illustrator and jacquard EAT software.
Woven using a Dornier PTS 8/J machine with a Staubli LX 1600 jacquard head.
Warp consisted of 100% cotton yarns, and weft was 100% acrylic resulting in a 50% cotton/50% acrylic fabric.
Design exhibited at the International Textile and Apparel Association, 2014
Won 2nd place at the Cotton Quintessential Competition sponsored by Cotton Inc, 2013 -
